Germany: 280 sq metres of paved road mysteriously vanishes, believed stolen

Story one was featured on SkyNews.com and was about a missing paved road in Germany. It is believed that someone stole 280 sq meters of paved road as it has mysteriously vanished. Laura and Squiggy came up with theories about this weird crime, with the latter suggesting a possible motive.

Squiggy also explained why the phrase paved road makes him think of long-running UK soap Coronation Street.

Pope caught on camera making unannounced stop at Rome record store

The second story came from nbcnews.com and was all about how the Pope popped into a record store recently. Laura and Squiggy discussed why this was considered news and debated what type of records Pope Francis would be browsing.

The pair also discussed the weird feeling you get from seeing famous people out and about, which in turn led Laura to reference a snap of Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa in supermarket Morrisons, which went viral.

Upon learning that the Pope enjoyed classical music, Squiggy shared his favourite piece of classical music was ‘Rise of the Valkyries’. This piece of music not only reminded Laura of current AEW wrestler Bryan Danielson, as that’s his theme tune, but also a short-lived show on ITV in the 1990s called ‘Ice Warriors’.
