The Stories Featured On Episode Twenty-Five of The Totally Buzzed UK Podcast:

“Finger Guns” Bandit Catches A Big Break”

The first story of episode 25 was published on thesmokinggun.com and is about an alleged crime in Florida. A man allegedly walked into a Waffle House brandishing finger guns and snatched some napkins. Laura and Squires talk about how these sorts of incidents seem common in Florida before discussing how’d they’d react if someone pointed a finger gun at them and attempted to rob them.

The duo then proceeded to talk about the mugshot featured in the story as the accused man was pictured in a bright yellow Spongebob shirt.

Jordan’s parliament turns into a wrestling arena during the amendments session

The second story featured on the podcast came from archyde.com and is about how a recent session in Jordan’s parliament got feisty. The news stories described how several deputies exchanged punches and kicks while uttering insults when discussing some political reforms.

Laura and Squiggy couldn’t believe the image that came out of the session of the brawl but admired the passion being shown by the country’s politicians. Squiggy and Laura spoke about how sometimes when catching a glimpse of a parliament session in the UK, attendance seems low, so there’s no chance of a passionate brawl breaking out. The pair also decide who would win if Boris Johnson and Keir Starmer ended up having to exchange blows.

Squiggy also comments on how Jordan makes him think about former Katie Price as ‘Jordan’ used to be her modeling moniker. Squiggy awkwardly explains why Katie Price is famous in the UK, for those unfamiliar.

George Jetson Incoming

Story three is about a tweet that recently went viral. The tweet in question highlights the fact that George Jetson, the lead character in the cartoon ‘The Jetson’ is due to be born in 2022, according to fans who have done the maths regarding the show’s timeline.

Squiggy and Laura hyped up how 2022 may end up being a good year, given it’s the birth year of George Jetson before discussing the TV show ‘The Jetson’. The pair discussed what innovations in the Jetson they’d like to see become real in 2022, with Laura wanting a robot servant and Squiggy wanting his flying-saucer cars.

The Jetsons

However, Laura and Squiggy then discover that the Jetsons may live above the clouds due to the earth being filled with smog, which makes them concerned about how the 1960s cartoon may have been correct when predicting such a scenario – given all the talk and concern regarding global warming.
