China: Man banned from all-you-can-eat BBQ for eating too much

Story one of the podcast came from BBC.co.uk and documented how a Chinese food live-streamer had been banned from an all-you-can buffet restaurant for eating too much. The person in question was believed to have eaten 1.5kg of pork trotters and somewhere between 3.5kg and 4kg of prawns on another visit.

Kayleigh and Laura debated whether the restaurant owner was right to ban the man for eating so much or whether the owner was in the wrong after all the man didn’t break any rules. The duo also discussed their own visits to all-you-can-eat buffets and their own eating habits.

Laura also ended up referencing the episode of Friends where Joey tries to down a lot of milk quickly, as Kayleigh highlighted the fact the Chinese man is believed to have consumed 20 or 30 bottles of soy milk on his visit.

‘Don’t get caught napping’ – pillow fighting enters combat sports arena

Story Two was off Reuters.com and was about the beautiful world of professional pillow fighting, in particular the company PFC (Pillow Fight Championship). PFC are hosting their first-ever PPV event.

Kayleigh and Laura talked about the idea of pillow fighting being a potentially mainstream sport before Kayleigh was taken back by how hard the pillows look. The pair also debate how’d they’d score the sport, with Laura revealing you can watch some PFC fights on YouTube currently.

Laura added that she was having a hard time imagining pillow going mainstream currently as she associated pillow fights with WWE, and in the WWE when they did happen, during the attitude era, it was more about the objectification of the female performers than a serious fight.

Laura then brought up the Balloon World Cup that had recently happened and how that was an odd game that had successfully taken the sports market.

Kayleigh and Laura then referenced the classic TV Show that is ‘Gladitors’ before Kayleigh how playground ‘British Bulldog’ could end up working on a grander scale. This was the case even though she admitted the game used to make her anxious when playing.

‘IT’S PUT ME RIGHT OFF’: WOMAN COMPLAINS AS IN-LAWS REVEAL THEY’RE CHARGING FOR FAMILY CHRISTMAS DINNER

The final story of episode 21 was reported on by The Independent and revolved around a woman’s anger on popular forum Mumsnet. The woman in question wanted to know whether she was justified in being angry that her in-laws were charging for Christmas Dinner. She pointed out that she had previously hosted family for free of charge and that while her in-laws were justifying charging by pointing out champagne costs, it’s not like she would be drinking any as she’d be driving.

Kayleigh was outraged at the idea of charging family and she discussed the main issues of asking for money from family with Laura. Laura made a reference to the Peep Show in the process.
