Totally Buzzed’s League: FPL GW3 (News Bulletin)

FPL GW3 Summary and King of Gameweek 3

A quiet week for Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, he scored just two points, caused a stir in Gameweek 3 as a lot of players count on him delivering the goods. However, players who favour Man City players were heavily rewarded if they counted on the right ones.

Manchester City thrashed Arsenal 5-0, Everton beat Brighton 2-0, Tottenham defeated Watford 1-0, Leicester City registered a 2-1 win over Norwich City and Manchester United just about clinched a narrow 1-0 win over Wolves. West Ham and Crystal Palace couldn’t be separated as they drew 2-2, Newcastle drew 2-2 with Southampton, Aston Villa racked up a point as they drew 1-1 with Brentford, Liverpool and Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw and last but not least – Burnley drew 1-1 with Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United.

This week’s best possible team, as revealed by the official FPL’s Twitter account:

Totally Buzzed’s FPL League Summary

Totally Buzzed’s FPL League is hotting up – just in time for the international break! Team Relegateland-Niles saw their six-point lead at the top cut down to four points, but they’ll likely be relieved that they simply held on to the top spot. Sanchos Nachos scored 69 points in order to shoot up to second,  Up The Franchise held on to third spot by scoring 65 points, and Dano Maniacs managed to stay in the top-four by the skin of their teeth after disappointingly only scoring 60 points this week.

NightHawks FC couldn’t make it two weeks in a row in the top-six as they slipped down into 7th after scoring just 60 points. Team Your Mum racked up a very impressive 83 points, which was more than our current league leader in GW3, to go sixth and Team MAN UTD registered 73 points to grab fifth place.

Team Your Mum’s rise up the table was aided by the fact they captained Jamie Vardy as that decision saw them score 24 points from just him alone.

As for the bottom of the table, Seabiscuit technically remained bottom but did move level on points with Pjanic at the Xisco, and considering they only started playing in GW2, they will no doubt be happy at their positive progress.

Ruby’s Riotts may have scored a respectable 56 points this week, but it wasn’t enough to see them move up the table and out of the bottom three. However, on a positive note, Ruby’s Riott’s are now only a point behind Team 2. Bundesliga > PL.

As for the home team, Totally Buzzards moved up one place to now sit 47th after racking up 54 points, which was mostly down to their decision to captain Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson. The Magpies attacker scored 18 points due to wearing the armband. However, Totally Buzzards regrettably left Chelsea’s Kai Havertz on the bench, missing out on what would have been a useful seven points.

Yet with it only being Gameweek 3, it’s still all to play for, so be sure to come back to see who the movers and shakers are after the international break in Gameweek 4.
