Totally Buzzed’s League: FPL GW 2 (News Bulletin)

FPL GW2 Summary and King of Gameweek 2

After an exciting game week 1 in the Premier League which saw an abnormal amount of people score a hundred points plus on with their fantasy teams, normality returned in game week 2.

Tottenham achieved a narrow 1-0 win over Wolves, Chelsea swept aside Arsenal in order to record a clean 2-0 win and Brighton, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester City as well as West Ham all added a further three points to their tally for the season. Meanwhile, Everton and Leeds played out an entertaining 2-2 draw, Manchester United were frustrated by Southampton, mustering only a 1-1 draw, and Brentford held Crystal Palace to a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park in order to remain unbeaten.

This week’s best possible team, as revealed by the official FPL’s Twitter account, shows how important it is to pick the right defender as five made the cut.

Totally Buzzed’s FPL League Summary

As for Totally Buzzed’s FPL league, 50 teams continued their journey, while another one joined late, and the teams had a wide range of success in GW 2. Last week’s leader ZT slipped all the way down to 13th after scoring only 43 points, with Relegateland-Niles taking the top spot instead. Dano Maniacs broke into the top five, taking second spot, after scoring 83 points, while Up The Franchise jumped from fifth to third. Mr. Consistent Sanchos Nachos held onto their fourth-placed spot and Nighthawks FC scored an impressive 80 points in order to knock Vipers out of the top five and feature instead.

Relegateland-Niles may have not seen captaining Mohamed Salah pay off as the Eqyptian King blanked in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Burnley, but several of his players hit double digits when it came to their points. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Konstantinos Tsimikas, Saïd Benrahma, and Michail Antonio all racked up more than 10 points each, with Antonio scoring an impressive 16 points due to his antics in West Ham’s 4-1 win over Leicester City on Monday.

As for the bottom of the table, late-comer seabiscuit, finished bottom with them unsurprisingly being able to catch up on a whole game week’s worth of points on their first attempt. However, due to seabiscuit’s arrival into the league, Pjanic at the Xisco may have stayed 50th but it meant that they lost their status as the bottom team.

It’s in the Gameweek and Braver Jeverkusen B both escaped the bottom three after improving in Game week 2, with Braver Jeverkusen B impressively climbing up six places to sit in the more comfortable position of 42nd.  Unfortunately for Ruby’s Riotts with them racking up just 28 points, it means they have slumped into the bottom three after game week two.

Yet with it only being Gameweek 2, it’s still all to play for, so be sure to come back to see who the movers and shakers are in GW 3 next week.
